Video Transcript: Friday, September 10, 2010

Hi, I’m Dave Westbrook. I can’t tell you how many emails I have received over the last week or so regarding a message from David Gates about a possible economic collapse this fall - perhaps even happening tomorrow, September 11, 2010. I don’t believe that we should reapply the literal time periods of the famine in Egypt to our own day, which is how some are arriving at tomorrow’s date. I’m not saying something won’t or can’t happen tomorrow - it might, I’m just simply stating that I do not see light in this reapplication of a time prophecy. However, I do agree with the bottom line of David’s message, and want to stand with him in that warning - that a financial collapse is coming and that we need to prepare now. If you’re prepared, then it doesn’t matter if it happens tomorrow, or next month, or next year. So, along these lines, I’ve put together a little quiz to help us all evaluate our level of preparedness. It’s just four questions – Here we go…

PREPAREDNESS QUIZ:

1. Are you ready for the close of probation?

According to the book of Revelation, a time is coming when everyone’s decision will be sealed for ever. Whatever your spiritual situation is, from that moment on - you won’t be able to change it. So, what if probation closed one second ago - would you be in or out? This is really the first and most important question to ask yourself about your readiness for the final crisis of earth’s history.

2. Do you understand the sequence of closing events in Bible prophecy?

This has to do with an understanding of what happens when. That’s important because knowing where we are in time and what will happen next is how we determine what we should be doing right now. It also helps us understand the meaning of world events taking place around us. When people don’t understand what’s really happening and the sequence of end time events, they become an easy prey to panic, fanaticism, and ultimately - bad decisions.

3. Are you physically prepared?

Have you set aside some food and water and some basic survival gear? How about medical missionary supplies and do you know how to use them? Do you have some literature that would be very useful and appreciated during a time of great crisis? What about a modest amount of cash or coins for bartering? Where do you live? Are you in a metropolitan area, or in a more rural country setting where you can establish a sustainable food supply, perhaps set up some alternative energy, and have an outpost for ministry?

Now I know that some will take issue with me on this list. There are those out there who think that Christians should not be concerned with such things, but should just let God take care of these needs, without any effort on their part. What if I could show you that, in fact, inspiration supports this list? Well, I’ll save that for another presentation we’ll post soon on our website. If you’re one of the skeptical ones this - stick around. I think you’ll find the evidence to be pretty compelling.

4. Are you sharing what you know with other people?

The coming days will present perhaps the greatest opportunities for sharing that we’ve ever seen. The sharing we do now, the relationships we develop now, will pay rich dividends in the future. Conversely, if we’re not sharing our faith now, let’s not expect that anyone will be all that interested in what we have to say when things really start falling apart.

Total Preparedness...

Total preparedness will be comprised of four parts. In the first part, entitled “Create in Me” I’ll be sharing keys to connecting with Christ’s power for conquering the giants that seem to hold us back from experiencing personal victory in our lives. We’ll tackle the subject of breaking habits, gaining control of our thoughts, and experiencing the deeper heart change that must happen if we’re going to be ready to meet Jesus.

In "Map and Compass" we’ll consider where we are in the light of Bible prophecy, as well as what’s coming next. After completing this section, you’ll know the major events between now and the second coming and the order in which they come, as well as how we will need to respond along the way.

"Back to Basics" will cover practical preparedness skills. Laura will show you techniques for canning, dehydrating, and other methods of food preservation and storage. We’ll also look at some basic survival skills as well as herbal and natural remedies and hydrotherapy techniques.

Finally, in part four we’ll look at "New Opportunities" for sharing these practical preparedness concepts with others, and how they can serve as an avenue for introducing our friends to more important spiritual truths.

I believe that these may be the most important meetings ever presented by Back to Enoch, so I hope you can join us.
