Several years ago, Back to Enoch Ministries posted information on our website about thousands of black plastic burial vaults stacked in the small town of Madison, Georgia, about an hour east of Atlanta. These burial vaults are designed to protect coffins from soil and moisture. We were told that they could also be used as cheap coffins. What we first posted on our website was information that had been shared with us from someone who said he had spoken with the owner of the field where the burial vaults were located. When we first visited the location, we spoke with a gentleman there who identified himself as the son of the owner of the field. Just this last spring, I spoke personally with the current owner, who said that while he was not sure of the purpose of the burial vaults, he had heard that they were being stockpiled in preparation for some sort of emergency or disaster. He gave me the name and location of Vantage Products, the manufacturer, and encouraged me to contact them to obtain more information.
I then phoned Vantage Products to see if a representative from their company might be willing to speak with us “on camera” with regard to the burial vaults. The receptionist told me I needed to speak with a certain gentleman in the company, to whom I was then transferred. I explained that we were working on a documentary film and wanted to talk with him regarding the burial vaults which, we understood, were stockpiled for a major emergency or disaster. He told me that this was absolutely not true, but rather a false rumor which had been spread via the internet over the last 7 years. So I asked if he might explain the real purpose of the burial vaults. He started with a question. “You know”, he said, “how funeral homes or cemeteries have special prepay programs for customers to pay in advance for all funeral expenses, including coffin, burial, etc.? Well, those burial vaults you see stacked there in Madison have all been paid for by someone, and are simply waiting for them to die.” I responded that some might raise a question as to why they would make these vaults, and let them sit out in the open to be subjected to the elements and possible breakdown of the polymers from sunlight. He responded that the only viable way to offer people a prepay option, was to make the product now, as it would be impossible to predict what the cost of such materials might be many years from now when the person might die. He went on to explain that many states have agencies that audit the funeral homes and cemeteries to make certain they are really purchasing product with the customer’s money. Finally, he said that in the event of such an emergency or disaster, black bags would be used rather than the large plastic vaults. He also indicated that the number of these burial vaults had been greatly exagerated. In Madison, for example, he said he had seen the rumors online suggesting as many as two million, when in reality there are 50,000 stored at that location. He further explained that while that seems like a lot, when you consider how many people die every year, it puts it in perspective. Finally, I asked him point blank, whether the CDC or FEMA had approached them or entered into any type of contract for the manufacture and stockpiling of these black burial vaults. He said, “Not with Vantage Products.” So I asked, “Are you aware of any other similar companies which do have such contracts with agencies like the CDC or FEMA?” He responded that he was not. While some will conclude that his explanation was a lie or a cover-up, I found it plausible. Even if it were a lie, it is the explanation others will hear when they inquire of Vantage Products and I have found no evidence to support the original conversations with the owner. Although Back to Enoch Ministries has made use of the photos and video footage of the burial vaults to illustrate preparations being made for coming disasters, we no longer believe this to be the case, and have posted this article to set the record straight. This does not take away from the fact that catastrophic events are coming, as we are told in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. It does highlight the importance of checking the facts before we share information, and we apologize for failing to do that in this instance. This experience has caused me to be more cautious of the many reports and rumors which have been flying through the internet in recent weeks and months. Even though many things may seem credible, we should take the time to check out the original sources, and only share those things that can be verified. This also reminds me of a familiar verse of scripture: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.” 1 Peter 1:19 Thankfully, in a time when uncertainty abounds, and rumors are on every side, we still have a solid source of information on which to base our faith and actions – God’s word. May He bless you as you lay your plans according to this unerring guide. Sincerely, Dave Westbrook |
