| H1N1 A National Emergency - Really? |

Although a "National Emergency" has been declared over the H1N1 outbreak, not everyone in the medical community is convinced that this is as serious a problem as some would make us think. And while many point to internet rumors of the vaccine's dangers as paranoid and lacking credibility, even some main stream voices are expressing concern over it's use.
In another post on the same website, Dr. Gordon states, "Tamiflu is a very powerful drug with little proven efficacy against this bug, and with its major side effect being tummy upset. I'm not using it at all. Psychiatric side effects are also possible. I also won't be giving the flu shot to the kids and parents in my practice unless there are extraordinary risk factors. I anticipate giving none at all this year." To read more on his reasons for not using the vaccine, CLICK HERE. Indeed, the swine flu fits as one more of those signs (pestilences - Matthew 24:7) that Christ's coming is near. And while some speculate on a possible conspiracy behind the outbreak, a more certain conclusion is that this pandemic will serve to desensitize the population to what will become more and more prevalent in the coming days - epidemic diseases that will, along with disasters, increase "until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation." (The Great Controversy, p. 589) In that sense, it's certainly helping to set the stage.
