We recently posted a video released by the United States Air Force Research Laboratory on the subject of Micro Air Vehicles, or MAVs. The video uses computer animation to depict this small, bird sized flying robots complete with flapping wings. According to an article published in the Chicago Tribune, researchers have set a 2015 deadline for introducing the first generation of micro air vehicles - MAVs, which they hope will be capable of operating for several days before recharging. While such technology could be used anywhere, it's interesting that according to the video, MAVs are specifically for use in urban areas. CLICK HERE to watch the video.
